Botanical Name: Acer palmatum dissectum 'Atropurpureum'.
Highly ornamental bushy tree with divided claret red leaves that turn brilliant red in, Autumn. Best planted in its dormancy period at the end of Autumn or in Spring when the ground becomes warmer. Plant in full sun for best foliage results. If space is not a constraint no pruning is necessary except to remove dead branches.
