c-1902-theodore
c. 1902 Theodore -
Theodore the Teddy Bear is a collectible Wonderlings plush inspired by the beginnings of the teddy bear as we know it today. His story takes us back to early 1900s Brooklyn, when a now-famous tale involving President Theodore Roosevelt helped give the humble stuffed bear a new name.
According to the story, after Roosevelt refused to shoot a captured bear during a hunting trip, a Brooklyn shopkeeper was inspired to create a stuffed bear and call it “Teddy’s Bear.” Theodore pays tribute to that moment, with golden fur, vintage-inspired detailing and the traditional jointed-limb look associated with early teddy bears.
Part history, part childhood nostalgia, Theodore is a lovely choice for cuddles, display or as a keepsake to hold onto for years to come.

Details
- Collectible Wonderlings teddy bear plush
- Inspired by the origins of the teddy bear in early 1900s America
- Golden fur
- Traditional jointed-limb styling
- Made from 100% recycled post-consumer polyester.
- Includes a time travel ticket and self-penned postcard
- Vintage-inspired look with modern construction
- Designed for play, display and keepsakes
- Available in three sizes

Sizes
Small: 17 cm seated height, 24 cm from ear to toe
Medium: 23 cm seated height, 33 cm from ear to toe
Large: 30 cm seated height, 43 cm from ear to toe
//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0453/6601/8210/files/39430_WLPTLG7898-WLPTMD6549-WLPTSM7805-Wonderlings-ToyLarge-ToyMedium-ToySmall-1902-Theodore-Product-Group1-918d5239-947a-48d8-99bc-d56dacbbcf8a.webp?v=1791078112
