During January and early February, clusters of yellow flowers appear, adding summer colour along with a pleasant sweet fragrance.\u003cbr\u003e\r\n\u003cbr\u003e\r\nThe trunk becomes another feature as the tree matures, developing striking port-coloured bark that peels away to reveal a mottled cream stem beneath. Combined with its glossy foliage, this gives the tree plenty of ornamental interest even when it is not flowering.\u003cbr\u003e\r\n\u003cbr\u003e\r\nGrowing into a small to medium-sized tree, it works particularly well as a feature specimen or planted in repeated rows.
