Description
Acer Atropurpureum.
Botanical Name: Acer palmatum dissectum 'Atropurpureum'.
Highly ornamental deciduous tree with divided claret red leaves that turn brilliant red in Autumn. Best planted in its dormancy period at the end of Autumn or in Spring when the ground becomes warmer.
Care
Plant in full sun for best foliage results.
Water well during extended periods of heat.
If space is not a constraint no pruning is necessary except to remove dead branches.
