Finger Lime Alstonville.
An elegant growing tree, Alstonville produces midsized, green skinned slender finger limes, plup with light green pearls. Alstonville is slightly less acid in taste than other Citrus Gems. Growing to around 3 metres Alstonville has a gentle, soft growth habit and a lovely elongated leaf. A tree that is ideal for pot or container growing, Alstonville performs best in full sun and enjoys a warm sheltered position. Trees will begin to produce fruit in the 2nd autumn after they’ve been planted. Given they receive attention and nurture.
Care
• Plant in a sunny, sheltered location with well-drained soil
• Water regularly during dry periods, especially when fruiting
• Prune in late winter to maintain shape and remove dead or crossing branches
• Protect young trees from frost; established trees tolerate light frosts
• Mulch to retain moisture, keeping mulch away from the trunk
