Description
Dwarf Cherry Tree Stella.
Botanical Name: Prunus avium Stella.
The large heart-shaped dark red fruit with firm sweet and juicy flesh has a good flavour. Growing to a height of approximately 2 – 2.5m at maturity. This variety is very popular for home garden use. Used for fresh fruit, jams and preserves this variety has good cropping capabilities. Upright-growing tree, suitable to grow in cooler climates.
Care
- Plant in a warm, protected area in well-drained soil.
- Best planted in winter during dormancy. Make sure you plant the bud union above the soil.
- Water in well and keep moist until established.
- Fertilise when planting and again when new growth appears. prune when planting.
