Carpobrotus Edulis Yellow - 14cm Pot

Carpobrotus edulis ‘Yellow’ is a tough, fast-spreading succulent groundcover ideal for coastal and low-maintenance landscapes. Known for its trailing growth habit, this hardy native forms a dense mat of fleshy, triangular leaves that root along the stems, quickly covering large areas and helping to suppress weeds.

In spring and summer, bright yellow daisy-like flowers appear above the foliage, adding a cheerful burst of colour and attracting pollinators. Its vigorous growth and ability to stabilise soil make it particularly valuable for erosion control and coastal planting.

Highly tolerant of salt, wind and dry conditions, Carpobrotus ‘Yellow’ thrives where many other plants struggle, making it an excellent choice for exposed sites.

Care & Growing Tips
Plant in full sun to part shade in sandy, well-drained soil. This variety is extremely drought tolerant once established and requires minimal watering in most conditions.

It performs best in coastal and free-draining environments and should be avoided in heavy, waterlogged soils. Little to no fertiliser is required, making it an easy-care option for low-maintenance gardens.

Pruning is rarely necessary, but stems can be trimmed back if needed to control spread or maintain shape.
