Ficus Pumila - 14cm Pot

Ficus pumila (Creeping Fig) is a fast-growing, self-clinging climbing plant prized for its ability to transform walls, fences and structures into lush green features. With its small, heart-shaped leaves and dense growth habit, it creates a soft, natural “living wall” effect. Ideal for covering unsightly surfaces or adding greenery to vertical spaces.

This highly adaptable plant requires no support structure, as it naturally adheres to surfaces, making it one of the easiest climbers to grow. When used as a ground cover, it forms a dense green carpet, while also performing beautifully in hanging baskets or as an indoor plant in well-lit spaces.

Once established, Ficus pumila is extremely hardy and drought tolerant, thriving in a wide range of conditions and climates.

Care & Growing Tips
Plant in full sun to part shade in well-drained soil. It is tolerant of shade and performs well in both outdoor and bright indoor positions. Water regularly during establishment, then reduce as the plant becomes drought tolerant.

Light pruning can be done as needed to control growth and maintain a neat, dense appearance, especially when used as a vertical hedge or wall feature.

Mature size as ground cover: approximately 20cm high × 2.5–4 metres wide, 
As a climber: will continue to spread vertically as space allows.

Important note
Like other ficus varieties, Ficus pumila produces a milky latex sap when cut or damaged. This sap can cause skin irritation in some people and is toxic if ingested by pets, so care should be taken when planting in pet-accessible areas.
