Lechenaultia Strawberry Sundae - 14cm Pot

Lechenaultia ‘Strawberry Sundae’ is a charming, low-growing Australian native that brings a soft wash of colour to the garden during the cooler months. From mid-autumn through winter and into spring, it produces masses of delicate strawberry-pink flowers that sit beautifully above fine, needle-like green foliage.

With its naturally spreading habit, Strawberry Sundae forms a light, graceful groundcover that works perfectly in garden beds, borders, rockeries and cottage-style plantings. It also performs beautifully in pots and hanging baskets, where it can gently trail and soften edges.

Easy to grow and visually appealing, this variety adds a fresh, dynamic layer of colour when many other plants are less active.

Mature size: approximately 30cm high × 30–60cm wide

Care & Growing Tips
Plant in full sun to part shade in well-drained soil. Strawberry Sundae is adaptable to sandy and loamy soils, as well as quality potting mixes, provided drainage is excellent.

Water regularly during establishment, then reduce, as it becomes drought tolerant once mature. It will also tolerate light frost, making it suitable for a range of climates.

Minimal maintenance is required. Light trimming after flowering can help maintain shape and encourage fresh growth.
