Thyme Creeping White is a sun-loving, ground-hugging herb that forms a dense, low-growing carpet of foliage and flowers. In summer, it produces masses of pure white blooms that create a soft, bright groundcover effect, perfect for lightening up pathways, rockeries and garden edges.

Growing to just 5cm high and spreading to around 50cm wide, this variety is ideal for filling gaps between pavers, cascading over edges or creating a low-maintenance lawn alternative in dry, sunny areas. Its aromatic foliage releases a pleasant fragrance when brushed or walked on, adding a sensory element to outdoor spaces.

In addition to its ornamental value, Creeping White Thyme is a versatile culinary herb. Its leaves can be used fresh or dried — added early in cooking for deeper flavour in soups and casseroles, or later for a lighter touch in salads, stir-fries and garnishes.

Highly drought tolerant once established, this thyme thrives in exposed positions with good airflow and minimal watering, making it perfect for low-water and Mediterranean-style gardens.

Care & Growing Tips
Plant in full sun in well-drained soil. Avoid heavy or waterlogged conditions, as thyme prefers dry, free-draining environments. Water lightly while establishing, then reduce significantly. Minimal maintenance is required once established.
