How It Works:

Each lantern features a built-in solar panel and light sensor. It charges during the day and lights up automatically at night.

  • Charges in full sun, lights for up to 8 hours
  • Built-in thermal protection for hot/cold weather
  • Replaceable AAA rechargeable battery (NiMH, 1.2 V)

Care Tips:
  • Wipe the solar panel clean regularly for best charging
  • Charge in direct sun (4–6 hrs recommended)
  • Remove battery before winter storage
  • Replace the battery every 12–15 months for a consistent glow - When replacing the Lumiz, always use a rechargeable AAA NiMH battery with 1.2 volts and approximately 700 mA.
     
Why is the installation of solar lighting important?

The Lumiz solar panel's performance depends entirely on sunlight. If the solar panel doesn't receive enough sunlight, the battery won't charge properly, and the light will burn for a shorter time or not at all. Proper placement ensures optimal use and maximum runtime. Please note when placing:
  • Sunlight: Choose a spot with at least 4–6 hours of direct sunlight per day.
  • No Shade: Avoid shade from trees, walls, or eaves.
  • Keep the panel clean: Dust or dirt can reduce charging.
  • Fixed or freestanding: Hang or place the lamp so that the panel points freely upwards.  

Made from 100% recyclable Tyvek. A high-quality material, allowing you to enjoy the LUMIZ for a long time. Tyvek is a synthetic material that consists of HDPE fibres. The material has the best properties provided by paper, foil and textiles. It is very strong, weather-resistant, durable and colourfast.

Frequently Asked Questions

We ship all* orders via Australia Post using Regular Parcel Post. If you would like to upgrade to Express Post, please contact us for a quote before placing your order.

After placing your order, you will receive a confirmation email. Orders are processed within 1–3 business days before being dispatched. A second email will follow with your Australia Post tracking number.

Orders are shipped Monday to Friday between 9am and 4:30pm. Delivery can take up to 10 business days, depending on your location.

Need it in a hurry? Call us on (03) 9844 3027 before ordering and we’ll arrange an Express Post upgrade and quote for you.

  • We do not ship any plant life, pots, Furniture, Bulky or Fragile items.

If you're not home at the time of delivery, Australia Post will notify you via the AusPost app, email, or SMS. If you're not linked to a MyPost account, a card will be left with collection instructions.
