'Baby Blue' is a visually striking small tree renowned for its distinctive rounded, silvery-blue leaves with a powdery, velvety appearance. Its branches also grow in a horizontal habit, often zig-zagging, adding to its visual appeal. During autumn and spring, it features light yellow flowers that attract bees and native birds. After flowering gumnuts remain.
Preferring a full sun position in well-drained soil, 'Baby Blue' requires minimal pruning. Gumnuts may weigh the branches down; if the branches are sagging too low, prune back some in the weighted areas. When first planted, it will benefit from staking to protect it from strong winds and to control its fast upward growth. Monitor for caterpillar damage and treat accordingly.
