Cupressus cashmeriana ‘Silver Shadow’, commonly known as Kashmir Cypress ‘Silver Shadow’, is an elegant evergreen conifer prized for its soft silver-blue foliage and graceful weeping habit. With finely textured feathery growth and a broad conical shape, this striking specimen tree brings year-round colour and structure to larger gardens and landscape settings.

One of the standout features of ‘Silver Shadow’ is its seasonal foliage colour. The mature foliage holds a soft grey-blue tone throughout the year, while fresh spring growth emerges with an almost silvery-white appearance that can brighten the entire tree. The layered branching and softly pendulous foliage create movement and texture in the landscape, especially when planted as a standalone feature against darker garden backgrounds or open lawn areas.

This Kashmir Cypress is best used as a specimen tree where its graceful form can be appreciated from a distance. Water regularly while establishing and during extended dry periods, particularly in warmer weather.

Apply a balanced slow-release fertiliser in spring to support steady healthy growth.
