Prostanthera Minty - 14cm Pot

Prostanthera ‘Minty’, commonly known as Native Mint Bush, is a beautifully fragrant Australian native shrub prized for its dense growth and aromatic foliage. The soft green leaves release a refreshing minty scent when brushed past, making it perfect for planting near paths, entrances and outdoor living areas.

In spring through early summer, Minty produces a lavish display of violet-mauve flowers, often covering the plant so heavily that the foliage is almost hidden. These blooms attract butterflies and beneficial insects, bringing life and movement to the garden.

With its naturally compact, bushy habit, this variety is ideal for hedging, screening, feature planting or containers, offering both structure and sensory appeal.

Care & Growing Tips
Plant in full sun to light shade in well-drained soil. Prostanthera ‘Minty’ is adaptable to a range of soil types, including sandy, loamy and clay soils, as well as quality potting mixes.

Water regularly while establishing, then maintain moderate moisture—avoid waterlogging. It tolerates both light and moderate frost once established.

Feed with a native fertiliser during the growing season, watering in well to prevent leaf or root burn. Light pruning after flowering will help maintain a dense, tidy shape and encourage fresh growth.
