Lavender English - 20cm Pot

Lavender English is a compact, evergreen shrub valued for its strongly aromatic foliage and vibrant purple-blue flower spikes. Its fine, grey-green leaves provide year-round interest, while the colourful flowers create an attractive display, particularly during summer.

Care & Growing Tips
Plant in full sun in well-drained soil. Lavender thrives in open, sunny positions with good airflow and dislikes heavy, waterlogged soil, particularly during Melbourne's cooler, wetter months.

Water regularly while establishing, then reduce watering once the plant is settled. Established plants are relatively drought tolerant but benefit from occasional deep watering during extended periods of hot, dry weather.

Lightly prune after flowering to maintain a compact, bushy shape and prevent the plant from becoming woody and leggy. Avoid cutting back into old, leafless stems, as lavender may struggle to produce new growth from older wood.

Lavender generally requires little fertiliser. Avoid excessive feeding, particularly with high-nitrogen products, which can encourage soft foliage growth at the expense of flowers.
