Olearia Spring Bling - 14cm Pot

Olearia phlogopappa ‘Spring Bling’ is an attractive evergreen Australian native shrub producing clusters of delicate white, daisy-like flowers in spring. Its fine green foliage provides year-round interest, while the abundance of flowers creates a fresh, colourful display during the warmer months.

With its naturally bushy growth habit, ‘Spring Bling’ is well suited to native gardens, mixed shrub borders and coastal landscapes. Its soft foliage and masses of white flowers make it an attractive choice for informal planting, particularly when combined with other flowering Australian natives.

The daisy-like blooms are also attractive to bees and other beneficial pollinators, helping support wildlife in the garden. Flowering stems can be cut and enjoyed in fresh floral arrangements.

Mature size: approximately 1.5 metres high × 1.5 metres wide

Care & Growing Tips
Plant in full sun to part shade in well-drained soil. A sunny position will generally encourage the best flowering, while good drainage is particularly important during Melbourne's cooler, wetter months.

Water regularly while establishing and during extended periods of hot, dry weather. Once established, plants generally require less frequent watering.

Lightly prune after flowering to maintain a compact, bushy shape and encourage fresh growth. Removing spent flowering stems can also help keep the plant looking neat.

Apply a slow-release fertiliser suitable for Australian native plants in spring if required. Mulching around the base will help retain soil moisture and suppress weeds.
