Weeping Cherry Kanzan Tall.
Botanical Name: Prunus kanzan.
A beautiful weeping feature tree with a delicate appearance. Large double pink flowers appear along the branches in mid to late Spring. The blossom ranges in colour as it opens from the bud. Foliage is dark green with young growth being bronze coloured, turning golden to orange in Autumn.
PPlant in full sun in a well-drained and well worked soil. Take care to plant the bud union above the soil level.
Water in well and keep soil moist until tree is established.
Fertilize when planting and again after new growth appears.
Prune tree when planting to encourage new growth.
It can grow to 5 x 4m.
