Acacia Mini Cog - 14cm Pot

Acacia cognata ‘Mini Cog’ is a compact, low-growing Australian native prized for its soft, weeping foliage and naturally dense habit. This dwarf form of Acacia cognata creates a graceful, flowing mound of fine green foliage, delivering year-round texture and movement in the garden.

In spring, small golden ball-shaped flowers appear, adding a subtle seasonal highlight and attracting bees and beneficial insects. While the flowers are a bonus, Mini Cog is primarily grown for its attractive foliage and neat, compact form.

Its dense growth helps suppress weeds, making it an excellent low-maintenance option for borders, groundcover planting and feature use in smaller spaces.

Mature size: approximately 0.7–1 metre high × 1–1.5 metres wide

Care & Growing Tips
Plant in full sun to light shade in well-drained soil. Good drainage is essential, particularly in humid climates where plants may be prone to root rot. In these conditions, consider raised beds or well-aerated soils to improve performance.

Water regularly while establishing, then reduce, as Mini Cog is drought tolerant once mature. It performs particularly well in cooler and southern climates. Light pruning can be done if needed to maintain shape, though it generally holds its form naturally.
