Acer palmatum dissectum ‘Orangeola’ is a highly sought-after weeping Japanese Maple, prized for its cascading form and vibrant, ever-changing foliage. This fast-growing, mound-forming variety creates a graceful, arching silhouette, making it an exceptional feature tree in both traditional and contemporary garden designs.

In spring, Orangeola bursts into life with finely cut, lace-like leaves in vivid orange-red tones. As the season progresses, the foliage deepens to a rich reddish-green through summer before transforming again into brilliant orange-red hues in autumn. This continuous colour shift makes it one of the most dynamic and visually rewarding dissectum maples available.

Its elegant, weeping branches and delicate foliage create a soft, layered effect, ideal for adding movement and texture to the garden. Small red flowers may appear in season, followed by decorative winged seed pods in autumn, adding further interest.

Care & Growing Tips
Plant in full sun to part shade, with full sun encouraging the best foliage colour (in milder climates). Choose a position with well-drained soil and protection from harsh afternoon sun and drying winds in hotter areas. Plant during dormancy in late autumn or in spring as the soil warms. Water regularly while establishing, then reduce once settled, maintaining consistent moisture during warmer months. Mulch to retain soil moisture and protect roots. Minimal pruning is required—remove only dead or crowded branches to maintain shape.
