Alyogyne East Coast Gem - 18cm Pot

Alyogyne ‘East Coast Gem’ is a fast-growing Australian native shrub producing an abundance of silky dark purple to mauve flowers. Flowering can occur for much of the year, with the main display from spring through autumn.

More compact than the larger ‘West Coast Gem’, ‘Eastcoast Gem’ develops into a medium-sized shrub with enough density to provide useful garden coverage without becoming overly large. Its prolific flowers make it an attractive feature in mixed borders and are also excellent for attracting pollinators.

Adaptable and relatively low maintenance, ‘East Coast Gem’ tolerates a range of well-drained soils, dry periods and light frost once established.

Care & Growing Tips
Plant in full sun to shade in well-drained soil.
Water regularly while establishing, then provide supplementary water during extended dry periods.
Feed initially with a slow-release, low-phosphorus native fertiliser and reapply as required. Mulch around the plant to help retain soil moisture and suppress weeds.
