Argyranthemum Angelic Sweets - 15cm Pot

Argyranthemum ‘Elite Sweets’ is a colourful, long-flowering daisy selected for its compact growth habit, abundant flowers and extended flowering season. 

‘Elite Sweets’ produces masses of daisy-like flowers in soft pink, peach and cream tones, with golden-yellow centres. The flowers sit above finely divided green foliage, creating a colourful display throughout the flowering season.

The Elite Daisy range has been selected for its naturally compact growth and ability to produce profuse flushes of flowers over an extended period. Under suitable conditions, ‘Elite Sweets’ can continue flowering from autumn through to spring, making it particularly useful for adding colour during Melbourne's cooler months.

With its bushy growth habit, this variety works beautifully in mixed garden beds, perennial borders and large decorative containers. It can also be planted alongside other colours in the Elite Daisy range to create a colourful seasonal display.

Once established, ‘Elite Sweets’ can tolerate short dry periods, although regular watering and occasional pruning help maintain healthy growth and encourage repeat flowering.

Mature size: approximately 50–80cm high × 50–80cm wide.

Care & Growing Tips
Position: Plant in full sun to part shade. Protect from harsh afternoon sun during Melbourne's hottest summer weather to help prevent leaf and flower damage.

Soil: Prefers fertile, well-drained soil. For container growing, use a quality premium potting mix with good drainage.

Watering: Water regularly during establishment. Once established, ‘Elite Sweets’ can tolerate dry periods but performs best with consistent watering, particularly during warmer weather.

Mulching: Apply organic mulch around the base to help retain moisture, regulate soil temperature and reduce weeds. Keep mulch clear of the main stems.

Fertilising: Apply an organic fertiliser seasonally to encourage healthy growth and flowering, following the manufacturer's directions.

Flowering: Produces abundant daisy-like flowers, with the main flowering period from autumn through to spring under suitable growing conditions.

Pruning: After flowering, or when the plant becomes overgrown, prune lightly to maintain a compact, bushy shape and encourage fresh growth and repeat flowering. Avoid pruning during extreme heat to reduce the risk of sunburn.

Deadheading: Remove spent flowers regularly to maintain a tidy appearance and encourage continued flowering.

Container Growing: Well suited to decorative pots and mixed planters. Ensure containers have adequate drainage and monitor moisture during hot weather.

Seasonal Care: Protect plants from extreme summer heat and maintain consistent watering during dry periods. Occasional trimming helps keep the plant compact and encourages new flowering growth.
