Argyranthemum Elite Pom Pom - 15cm Pot

Argyranthemum ‘Elite Pom Pom’ is a compact, long-flowering daisy admired for its beautiful double pink flowers, finely divided green foliage and abundant flowering habit.

Unlike traditional single-flowering daisies, ‘Elite Pom Pom’ produces full, pom pom-like blooms with layers of pink petals, creating a soft, textured floral display. The flowers range through attractive pink tones, standing out against the plant's green foliage.

During nursery trials, the Elite Daisy range was selected for its naturally compact habit and ability to produce generous flushes of flowers, with new buds continually developing throughout the flowering season.

The main flowering period extends from autumn through to spring, making ‘Elite Pom Pom’ particularly useful for adding colour to Melbourne gardens during the cooler months.

Its bushy growth habit makes it an excellent choice for garden borders, mixed perennial beds and decorative containers. It also pairs beautifully with other flowering varieties in the Elite Daisy range.

Once established, ‘Elite Pom Pom’ can tolerate short dry periods, although regular watering, seasonal feeding and occasional pruning help maintain healthy growth and encourage repeat flowering.

Mature size: approximately 50–70cm tall and 40–60cm wide, depending on growing conditions and pruning.

Care & Growing Tips
Position: Plant in full sun to part shade. Protect from harsh afternoon sun during Melbourne's hottest summer weather to help prevent leaf and flower damage.

Soil: Prefers fertile, well-drained soil. For container growing, use a quality premium potting mix with good drainage.

Watering: Water regularly during establishment. Once established, ‘Elite Pom Pom’ can tolerate dry periods but performs best with consistent watering, particularly during warmer weather.

Mulching: Apply organic mulch around the base to help retain moisture, regulate soil temperature and reduce weeds. Keep mulch clear of the main stems.

Fertilising: Apply an organic fertiliser seasonally to encourage healthy growth. A suitable liquid fertiliser can also be used after pruning to support fresh growth and repeat flowering, following the manufacturer's directions.

Flowering: Produces abundant double pink flowers, with the main flowering period from autumn through to spring under suitable growing conditions.

Pruning: After flowering, or when the plant becomes overgrown, prune to maintain a compact, bushy shape and encourage fresh growth. Avoid pruning during extreme heat to reduce the risk of sunburn.

Deadheading: Remove spent flowers regularly to maintain a tidy appearance and encourage continued flowering.

Container Growing: Well suited to decorative pots and mixed planters. Ensure containers have adequate drainage and monitor moisture during hot weather.
