Boronia Heaven Scent - 14cm Pot

Boronia ‘Heaven Scent’ is a compact form of the much-loved Brown Boronia, prized for its intensely fragrant spring flowers. Small brown and yellow blooms are produced amongst fine evergreen foliage, filling the surrounding area with the distinctive perfume for which Boronias are famous.

Its naturally dense, compact habit makes ‘Heaven Scent’ particularly well suited to pots and sheltered courtyards, where the fragrance can be enjoyed up close. The flowering stems also make excellent cut flowers for bringing indoors.

An interesting quirk of Brown Boronia is that not everyone can smell its fragrance. Some people have a specific inability to detect the scent, sometimes referred to as Boronia anosmia. So if you can't smell it while someone beside you can, your nose may simply perceive Boronia differently.

Like other Brown Boronias, ‘Heaven Scent’ can be particular about its growing conditions and may be relatively short lived, but its extraordinary spring perfume makes it well worth growing.

Mature size: approximately 80cm high × 50cm wide

Care & Growing Tips
Plant in part shade or lightly dappled shade in moist, well-drained, slightly acidic soil.
Choose a position sheltered from strong winds and hot afternoon sun.
Keep the soil consistently moist without allowing it to become waterlogged.
Mulch to maintain a cool, undisturbed root zone and prune promptly after flowering to maintain compact growth.
