‘Charles de Gaulle®’ (Meilanein) is an exceptional Hybrid Tea rose, admired for its rare lilac-purple blooms and outstanding fragrance. Flowering repeatedly from late spring through to autumn, this elegant variety produces beautifully cupped, fully double flowers with around 35 to 40 petals. Its unique colouring and intense perfume make it a true collector's rose and a standout feature in any garden.

The softly cupped blooms display an unusual blend of lavender and lilac-purple tones, complemented by a powerful fragrance with notes of lemon verbena and classic rose. Carried on long stems above healthy medium green foliage, the flowers are excellent for cutting and bring both beauty and perfume indoors.

Care & Growing Tips
Plant in full sun in fertile, well-drained soil enriched with organic matter.
Water deeply during dry periods, keeping foliage as dry as possible.
Feed with a quality rose fertiliser in late August, then after each main flush of flowers through the growing season.
Apply organic mulch in spring to retain moisture and suppress weeds.
Deadhead regularly to encourage repeat flowering and prune annually in July while dormant.
Monitor for common rose pests and diseases during spring.
