‘Dark Desire®’ (Kordiagraf) is a spectacular Hybrid Tea rose from the renowned Parfuma® Collection by Kordes (Germany), combining dramatic colour, exceptional fragrance and outstanding disease resistance. Flowering repeatedly from late spring through to autumn, this award-winning variety produces luxurious, deeply cupped blooms that evolve through rich shades of violet-red, crimson and deep purple. With its compact, bushy habit, it is an outstanding feature rose for Melbourne gardens.

The elegant flowers emerge from almost black buds before opening to reveal a mesmerising blend of velvety red and violet tones that deepen as the blooms mature. Each flower is richly perfumed with a sophisticated fragrance combining classic rose, lemon verbena, rose geranium, lychee, elderflower, peach, plum, honey and subtle earthy notes. Carried above glossy green foliage with excellent disease resistance, the blooms are also superb for cutting.

Care & Growing Tips
Plant in full sun in fertile, well-drained soil enriched with organic matter.
Water deeply during dry periods, keeping foliage as dry as possible.
Feed with a quality rose fertiliser in late August, then after each main flush of flowers through the growing season.
Apply organic mulch in spring to retain moisture and suppress weeds.
Deadhead regularly to encourage repeat flowering and prune annually in July while dormant.
Monitor for common rose pests and diseases during spring.
