Description
Dwarf Fairy (Korzweenu)PBR is a compact, colourful miniature rose from the Kordes Lilliputs® Collection, admired for its vibrant orange-red flowers, excellent disease resistance and easy-care growth habit.
Producing large clusters of intense orange-red blooms, this miniature floribunda rose creates an eye-catching display throughout the flowering season. Its bright flowers contrast beautifully against healthy green foliage, bringing plenty of colour to smaller garden spaces.
Despite its compact size, Dwarf Fairy delivers an impressive floral display. Growing to approximately 40cm high, it is particularly well suited to decorative pots, courtyard gardens, balconies and the front of garden borders.
This award-winning rose has received numerous international accolades, including a silver medal at Australia's National Rose Trial Gardens. Its excellent disease resistance is another standout feature, helping reduce maintenance while supporting healthy growth.
With its naturally compact habit and colourful clustered flowers, Dwarf Fairy is an excellent choice for gardeners wanting the beauty of roses in a smaller, manageable plant.
Mature size: approximately 40cm high, with a compact, bushy spread.
Care & Growing Tips
Position: Plant in full sun, ideally receiving at least 6 hours of direct sunlight daily for healthy growth and abundant flowering.
Soil: Prefers fertile, well-drained soil enriched with compost or organic matter. For containers, use a quality premium potting mix formulated for flowering plants.
Watering: Water regularly during establishment. Container-grown plants may require more frequent watering, particularly through Melbourne's hot, dry summers.
Mulching: Apply a light layer of organic mulch around the base to retain moisture and regulate soil temperature. Keep mulch clear of the main stems.
Fertilising: Feed established roses with a quality rose fertiliser from late August in Melbourne, followed by additional feeding during the growing season according to product directions. Use a suitable controlled-release fertiliser for potted plants.
Pruning: Prune during winter, generally in July for Melbourne gardens. Remove dead, damaged or crossing stems and lightly shape the plant to maintain its compact, bushy habit.
Flowering Care: Remove spent flower clusters throughout the growing season to encourage further flowering and maintain a tidy appearance.
Plant Health: Dwarf Fairy has excellent disease resistance, making it a relatively low-maintenance rose. Maintain good airflow and water at soil level where possible to help minimise fungal problems.
