Bush Rose Fairytale Magic - 20cm Pot

Rose Fairytale Magic (Kormarzau) is an award-winning rose from the Kordes Fairytale Roses® Collection, admired for its beautiful, fully petalled blooms and excellent garden performance.

The large, romantic flowers feature soft pink outer petals surrounding a warm apricot centre, creating a lovely blend of colour. Their delicate, old-fashioned appearance is complemented by an enchanting fragrance, making this rose particularly appealing for garden beds and areas where its flowers can be enjoyed up close.

Growing as a compact, upright bush to approximately 90cm tall, Fairytale Magic produces generously sized blooms in proportion to the plant, creating a full and colourful display. Its exceptionally healthy growth and strong disease resistance make it an excellent choice for gardeners looking for a beautiful, relatively low-maintenance rose.

Bred by Kordes, this variety has received multiple international gold medals, including the prestigious Golden Rose of Baden-Baden in 2016. Large decorative rose hips can also develop in autumn when spent flowers are left on the plant.

Care & Growing Tips
Plant in full sun in fertile, well-drained soil, ideally receiving at least six hours of direct sunlight each day.
Water thoroughly after planting and regularly while establishing, particularly during extended periods of hot, dry weather. Apply mulch in spring to help retain soil moisture and suppress weeds, keeping it clear of the base of the plant.
Feed established roses in late August and again after the main flowering flushes to encourage healthy growth and flowering.
Prune in July, or August in colder and frost-prone areas, removing dead, damaged or crossing branches. Shorten remaining stems to outward-facing buds to maintain a compact, balanced shape and encourage healthy new growth.
Remove spent flowers throughout the growing season to encourage further blooms. Alternatively, leave some of the final flowers on the plant to develop into decorative rose hips during autumn.
Although this variety has excellent disease resistance, maintaining good airflow and removing fallen leaves will help keep the plant healthy.
