Bush Rose Oranges And Lemons is a striking shrub rose, producing brilliant orange flowers splashed with vibrant yellow stripes. Each medium to large bloom features approximately 20 to 25 petals, with the contrasting colours making every flower particularly eye-catching.

Adding to its appeal is the rich mahogany-red new foliage, which emerges throughout the growing season before maturing to a deep, glossy green. The colourful new growth provides an attractive contrast to the bright flowers.

A vigorous rose with a naturally arching, fountain-like growth habit, this variety develops long, graceful stems that can be trained as a climber in suitable conditions. Flowering is particularly prolific during cooler weather, making it an interesting addition to gardens where seasonal colour is a priority.

Its substantial growth makes it well suited to larger garden beds, informal borders and areas where its arching branches have room to develop.

Mature size: approximately 3 metres high, depending on growing conditions and training.

Flower colour: Brilliant orange striped with yellow

Care & Growing Tips

Plant in full sun in fertile, well-drained soil, ideally receiving at least six hours of direct sunlight each day.

Water thoroughly after planting and regularly while establishing, particularly during extended periods of hot, dry weather. Apply mulch in spring to help retain soil moisture and suppress weeds, keeping it clear of the base of the plant.

Feed established roses in late August and again after the main flowering flushes to support healthy growth and flowering.

Prune in July, or August in colder and frost-prone areas, removing dead, damaged or crossing branches. Maintain the plant's natural arching habit by selectively shortening stems rather than cutting the entire shrub back heavily.

If training as a climber, provide a sturdy support and tie in the long, flexible stems as they develop.

Remove spent flowers throughout the growing season to encourage further blooms. Maintain good airflow around the plant and remove fallen leaves to help reduce the risk of fungal diseases.
