Bush Rose Twilight Zone (WEKebtidere)
Take the amethyst purple and powerful perfume of Ebb Tide and make the flower bigger and borne by a stronger plant, enter the Twilight Zone. Big fat buds open to very double old fashioned blooms of deep velvet purple with just a wisp of smoke. Strong clove and lemon citrus tones finish a very good plant of deep green almost quilted leaves. Tempting colours, seductive fragrance and strong performance, winners in all judgements.
Care
• Water immediately after planting. Water well until established, particularly during periods of extended heat.
• Plant in Full Sun.
• Remove spent blooms. Prune back by one-third in winter, removing old and damaged wood. Shorten stems to a healthy bud to promote strong growth.
• Fertilise every Late winter to the end of autumn every 3-4 months. With rose specific fertiliser.
