Camellia Pope John XXIII - 25cm Pot

Camellia japonica ‘Pope John XXIII’ is a hardy, reliable evergreen Camellia renowned for its large, pure white formal double blooms. Flowering from late winter into early spring, the beautifully structured flowers feature layers of neatly arranged, gently ruffled petals that create a full, rounded appearance.

The crisp white flowers contrast beautifully against glossy, dark green foliage, giving this variety a classic look that works particularly well in formal and traditional gardens. Considered one of the tougher white-flowering Camellias, ‘Pope John XXIII’ is an excellent choice for gardeners wanting an elegant white variety with reliable garden performance.

Care & Growing Tips
Plant in part shade, ideally with morning sun and protection from hot afternoon sun and strong winds. Camellias prefer fertile, slightly acidic, well-drained soil that is kept consistently moist without becoming waterlogged. Mulch well to help keep the shallow roots cool and lightly prune after flowering if required. Feed with a Camellia-specific or suitable acid-loving plant fertiliser in spring.
