Ceanothus Pacific Wave - 14cm Pot

Ceanothus ‘Pacific Wave’ is a compact, low-growing Ceanothus with a naturally self-branching, mounding habit and an impressive display of rich, stormy blue flowers. The blooms appear for many weeks from spring into early summer, standing out beautifully against the fresh green evergreen foliage.

Selected through the Lambley breeding program in Australia, ‘Pacific Wave’ has been bred for compact growth, hardiness and minimal maintenance. Unlike larger Ceanothus varieties, it stays relatively low while spreading to around 1.5 metres, making it particularly useful as a medium-sized groundcover or mass-planted flowering shrub.

Once established, it is tolerant of dry conditions and frost and requires little to no pruning to maintain its naturally dense shape. Its combination of vivid blue flowers, evergreen foliage and low water requirements makes it an excellent choice for Melbourne gardens.

Mature size: approximately 60 to 80cm high × 1.5 metres wide

Care & Growing Tips
Plant in full sun in well-drained soil. Water requirements are low once established and plants are tolerant of dry conditions. Good drainage is important. Little to no pruning is required thanks to its naturally compact, self-branching habit.
