Clematis Candy Stripe - 20cm Pot

Clematis ‘Candy Stripe’ is a colourful deciduous climber producing large pinkish-lilac flowers with a distinctive rose-pink central stripe. The two-tone blooms measure approximately 12.5 to 15cm across, creating an attractive display from spring through to autumn.
With a moderate climbing habit reaching around 2.5 to 3 metres, ‘Candy Stripe’ is well suited to training over trellises, fences and garden arches. Its long flowering season and contrasting flower colour make it particularly useful for adding vertical interest through garden beds and cottage-style planting.

‘Candy Stripe’ belongs to Clematis Pruning Group 2, meaning it flowers on both old and new growth. Avoid hard pruning in winter, as this can remove stems carrying the first flowers of the season.

Care & Growing Tips
Plant in sun to part shade in moist, well-drained soil. Keep the root zone cool and evenly moist during warmer weather while avoiding waterlogged conditions. Provide a trellis, fence or other suitable structure for the stems to climb.
As a Group 2 Clematis, prune lightly. In late winter to early spring, remove dead or weak growth and trim healthy stems back to strong buds. Light pruning after the first flowering flush can help encourage fresh growth and further flowering.
