Climbing Rose ‘Future’ (Korjoslio) is a beautiful addition to the Kordes Climbing Max® Collection, admired for its large, fully petalled flowers, soft colouring and vigorous climbing habit.

The generously petalled blooms feature a clear white base delicately touched with pale pink, creating a soft, romantic appearance. Their full, nostalgic flower form gives this variety the charm of a traditional garden rose.

Flowers are produced in abundant clusters, creating an impressive display against healthy green foliage. The blooms also carry a gentle fragrance, adding another lovely feature to this attractive climber.

Bred by Kordes, ‘Future’ combines classic rose beauty with good plant health and a strong climbing habit. Its soft white and pink colouring makes it easy to incorporate into cottage-style gardens, romantic planting schemes and mixed rose borders.

Ideal for training over arches, trellises and garden structures, ‘Future’ provides an elegant flowering feature without overwhelming the surrounding garden.

Mature size: approximately 2–2.5 metres wide, with height depending on growing conditions, pruning and available support.

Care & Growing Tips
Position: Plant in full sun, ideally receiving at least 6 hours of direct sunlight daily for healthy growth and abundant flowering.

Soil: Prefers fertile, well-drained soil enriched with compost or organic matter. Avoid poorly drained positions.

Watering: Water deeply and regularly during establishment. Once established, provide additional water during extended dry periods, particularly through Melbourne's hot summers.

Mulching: Apply organic mulch around the base to retain moisture, regulate soil temperature and reduce weeds. Keep mulch clear of the main stems.

Fertilising: Feed established roses with a quality rose fertiliser from late August in Melbourne, followed by additional feeding during the growing season according to product directions.

Support: Provide a sturdy trellis, archway, fence or climbing frame. Tie new stems loosely to the support and train longer canes horizontally or at an angle to encourage flowering along their length.

Pruning: Prune during winter, generally in July for Melbourne gardens. Remove dead, damaged and crossing stems, then shorten flowering side shoots while retaining healthy main climbing canes.

Flowering Care: Remove spent flower clusters throughout the growing season to encourage further flowering and maintain a tidy appearance.

Plant Health: Although bred for good plant health, maintain airflow around the foliage and water at soil level where possible to help reduce fungal disease.
