Description
Climbing Rose Pierre De Ronsard Red (Meidrason).
A romantic climbing rose. Large double-cupped blooms adorn this superb pillar climber. The highly fragrant blooms are double-petalled with a ruby red colour.
Plant in full sun in fertile, well-drained soil enriched with organic matter.
Water deeply during dry periods, keeping foliage as dry as possible.
Feed with a quality rose fertiliser in late August, then after each main flush of flowers through the growing season.
Apply organic mulch in spring to retain moisture and suppress weeds.
Deadhead regularly to encourage repeat flowering and prune annually in July while dormant.
Monitor for common rose pests and diseases during spring.
