Climbing Rose Smooth Touch True Friend - 20cm Pot

Smooth Touch® True Friend’ is a charming climbing rose, admired for its beautifully formed apricot blooms and almost thorn-free stems. Long, elegant buds open to reveal classic Hybrid Tea-style flowers in warm copper-apricot tones with deeper copper-pink reverses, creating a soft two-tone effect. Flowering repeatedly from late spring through to autumn, this graceful climber adds colour and fragrance to any garden.

The blooms are produced both singly and in clusters against fresh light green foliage, making them equally attractive on the plant or as cut flowers. With very few thorns, it is an excellent choice for planting near paths, entrances and outdoor entertaining areas where it can be enjoyed up close.

Its compact climbing habit makes ‘Smooth Touch® True Friend’ ideal for smaller gardens, trellises, obelisks and decorative supports.

Care & Growing Tips
Plant in full sun in fertile, well-drained soil enriched with organic matter.
Water deeply during dry periods, particularly while establishing.
Feed with a quality rose fertiliser in late August, then after each main flush of flowers through the growing season.
Apply organic mulch in spring to conserve moisture and suppress weeds.
Remove spent flowers to encourage repeat blooming and prune in July, lightly shaping the plant and training new shoots onto supports.
Monitor for common rose pests and diseases during spring.
