Correa ‘Dusky Bells’ is a long-flowering Australian native shrub, loved for its soft pink bell-shaped flowers and dense, mounding habit. Flowering from autumn through winter and into spring, this variety provides reliable colour across the cooler months, making it a valuable addition to any garden.

Its nectar-rich blooms are highly attractive to small birds and pollinators, bringing movement and life to the garden when many other plants are not in flower. The foliage is equally appealing, releasing a subtle citrus fragrance when crushed.

With its wide-spreading form, Dusky Bells works well as a feature shrub or informal groundcover, filling space with soft texture and year-round greenery.

Mature size: approximately 0.5–1 metre high × 2–4 metres wide

Care & Growing Tips
Plant in full sun to part shade in well-drained soil. Dusky Bells performs best in soils that retain some moisture but do not become waterlogged. It is adaptable to sandy and loamy soils and suits a wide range of garden conditions.

Water regularly during establishment, then reduce, as it becomes drought tolerant once mature. It will tolerate both light and moderate frost, making it suitable for cooler climates.

Prune immediately after flowering to encourage dense, bushy growth and improve future flowering. Feed in spring with a quality native fertiliser to support healthy development.

Ideal for
– Feature planting and informal borders
– Bird and pollinator-friendly gardens
– Coastal and cool-climate gardens
– Low-maintenance and drought-tolerant landscapes
– Filling larger spaces with spreading coverage
