Cumquat Calamondin - 33cm Pot

Cumquat ‘Calamondin’ is a compact, bushy citrus tree prized for its abundant small orange fruit and ornamental beauty. Producing masses of round, glossy-skinned fruit, it offers a unique flavour—tangy and slightly sweet, perfect for preserves, marmalades, drinks and cooking.

From late spring to summer, the tree is covered in fragrant white blossoms, followed by fruit that ripens over 6–9 months, often providing colour and interest well into the cooler months.

With its dark green, glossy foliage and naturally tidy form, Calamondin is as decorative as it is productive—ideal for both edible gardens and feature planting.

Care & Growing Tips
Plant in full sun in well-drained soil for best fruiting.

Water regularly while establishing, then reduce, as it becomes moderately drought tolerant once mature. Supplementary watering will improve fruit yield and quality.

Fertilise with a citrus-specific fertiliser in spring and late summer. Lightly prune in late winter or early spring to maintain shape and encourage new growth.

Protect young plants from frost, as they are more sensitive in early stages.

Monitor for common citrus pests such as scale, leaf miner and gall wasp, and treat as needed.
