Cumquat Calamondin Variegated - 16.5cm Pot

Cumquat ‘Calamondin Variegated’ is a beautiful twist on the classic calamondin, combining edible citrus fruit with striking variegated foliage. This compact, bushy tree features green leaves edged in creamy-white, adding year-round visual interest even when not in fruit.

Like the standard form, it produces an abundance of small, orange fruit with a tangy, slightly sweet flavour, perfect for marmalades, preserves, drinks and cooking. What sets this variety apart is the distinctive striped (tiger-like) pattern on immature fruit, adding an extra ornamental touch as it develops.

In late spring to summer, fragrant white blossoms appear, followed by fruit that ripens over several months, often carrying through into the cooler seasons.

Care & Growing Tips
Plant in full sun in well-drained soil for best growth and fruiting.

Water regularly while establishing, then reduce, as it becomes moderately drought tolerant once mature. Consistent watering will improve fruit quality.

Feed with a citrus-specific fertiliser in spring and late summer. Lightly prune in late winter to maintain shape and encourage fresh growth.

Protect from heavy frost when young, and monitor for common citrus pests such as scale and leaf miner.
