Sago Palm

Botanical Name: Cycad revoluta.

An adaptable, slow-growing, palm-like plant, from the Cycad family. It has a woody trunk like a palm, but its leaves tend to be harder. Typically grown in the warmer parts of Japan and Chin, the cycad works well as an indoor plant in cooler climates.
If grown indoors it is best positioned in a very well-lit position. When planted outdoors, it will prefer the morning sun as opposed to the harsh afternoon sun. The bold, stiff foliage makes this an excellent feature plant for garden beds and containers. These plants are very slow growing and will perform better in the ground than in containers.

INDOORS:
- Position in a bright and warm location in the home.
- Water when the top two inches of the soil are dry.
- Best planted in a pot with drainage.

OUTDOORS:
- Full Sun to Part Shade.
- Suited to ground and container growing.
- Water well during periods of extended heat.
- Slow growing, but can reach 1-2m at maturity.
