English Shrub Rose Graham Thomas (Ausmas).

‘Graham Thomas’ is a much-loved English shrub rose bred by David Austin, admired for its medium-sized, cupped blooms in an unusually rich, pure yellow. The flowers are produced repeatedly throughout the season, creating a warm and elegant display against smooth green foliage.

Its light tea fragrance carries a subtle violet character, adding to the rose’s refined appeal. The plant forms a vigorous, upright and bushy shrub, making it a strong choice for mixed borders, rose beds and informal hedging.

Introduced in 1983, ‘Graham Thomas’ was named after the influential British horticulturist who selected the rose himself.

Mature size: approximately 1.5 to 1.75 metres high × 1.5 to 1.75 metres wide

Fragrance: Light tea fragrance with a cool violet character

Care & Growing Tips
Plant in full sun to partial sunlight in fertile, well-drained soil. Water deeply while establishing and during extended dry periods. Feed established roses in late August and again after the main flowering flushes. Mulch in spring and deadhead regularly to encourage repeat flowering. As an English shrub rose, prune lightly in July, or August in colder and frost-prone areas, removing dead, weak or crossing growth while maintaining the plant’s natural shape.

Ideal for
– Mixed borders
– Rose beds
– Informal hedging
– Large decorative pots
– Cottage gardens
– Partial sunlight
– Feature planting
– Fragrant gardens
