Eucalyptus Pressiana - 14cm Pot

Eucalyptus preissiana, commonly known as the Bell-fruited Mallee, is a compact and highly ornamental native gum, ideal for smaller gardens and feature planting. Naturally forming a multi-stemmed (mallee) habit, it develops a rounded shape with smooth bark and attractive, broad green foliage.

From winter through spring, this variety produces large, showy golden-yellow flowers, often 3cm or more across, creating a bright and cheerful display during the cooler months. These blooms are followed by distinctive bell-shaped gumnuts, adding further seasonal interest and texture.

Its manageable size and striking flowering make Bell-fruited Mallee a standout choice where a smaller eucalyptus is desired without sacrificing impact.

Care & Growing Tips
Plant in full sun in well-drained soil for best performance. Eucalyptus preissiana thrives in temperate climates and may struggle in tropical or highly humid conditions.

Water regularly while establishing, then reduce, as it becomes drought tolerant once mature. Good drainage is essential for long-term health.

Thanks to its lignotuber, this species responds well to hard pruning, allowing it to be rejuvenated or maintained at a desired size if needed.
