Rose ‘Flower Carpet Amber’ (PBR) is a beautiful, low-growing groundcover rose producing masses of semi-double flowers in warm amber tones. Its colourful blooms create a lovely display over an extended flowering season, bringing colour to garden beds, borders and landscaped areas.
 
Part of the popular Flower Carpet® range, ‘Amber’ is particularly valued for its excellent disease resistance, glossy green foliage and easy-care growth habit. The flowers appear in abundance against the healthy foliage, with repeat flowering providing colour for much of the year in suitable conditions.
 
With its naturally spreading habit, ‘Flower Carpet Amber’ is an excellent choice for covering larger garden areas, softening the edges of pathways or planting amongst other shrubs and perennials.
 
A reliable, relatively low-maintenance rose, it offers the beauty of traditional roses without the need for intensive pruning or ongoing attention.
 
Care & Growing Tips
Plant in full sun in fertile, well-drained soil, ideally receiving at least six hours of direct sunlight each day.
 
Water thoroughly after planting and regularly while establishing, particularly during extended periods of hot, dry weather. Once established, water deeply as required rather than frequently applying small amounts.
 
Apply mulch in spring to help retain soil moisture and suppress weeds, keeping it clear of the base of the plant.
 
Feed established roses in late August and again after the main flowering flushes to encourage healthy growth and continued flowering.
 
Flower Carpet roses require less pruning than traditional bush roses. In July, or August in colder and frost-prone areas, lightly trim the plant to maintain its shape and encourage fresh growth. Remove any dead, damaged or overcrowded stems as required.
 
Deadheading is generally unnecessary, as Flower Carpet roses naturally continue flowering with minimal attention.
 
Although this variety has excellent disease resistance, maintaining good airflow and removing fallen leaves will help keep the plant healthy.
