Frangipani Hot Pink.
This frangipani is well known for its intoxicating fragrance and exotic flowers. It is a deciduous tree producing large leaves that are borne on fleshy branches. The Hot pink flowers with yellow hue appear in summer. It is hard to top this flower for elegance and fragrance in bouquets and in vases.
Frangipanis love warmth and sunshine. In Melbourne’s cooler climate, they’re best grown in a pot so they can be moved with the seasons. Position your frangipani in a warm, sunny spot during the warmer months, ideally against a north- or west-facing brick wall where reflected heat helps encourage growth and flowering. As temperatures drop, move the pot to a sheltered, frost-free position for winter, such as a greenhouse, sunroom, or protected patio. Avoid cold, wet conditions and water sparingly over winter while the plant is dormant.
