Grevillea Red Hooks - 14cm Pot

Grevillea ‘Red Hooks’ is a hardy, fast-growing native shrub ideal for screening, hedging and large-scale planting. With its dense foliage and vigorous growth, it quickly forms a thick, evergreen barrier, providing both privacy and structure in the garden.

This variety produces red toothbrush-style flowers almost year-round, with peak flowering in winter and spring. The nectar-rich blooms attract birds, bees and pollinators, making it an excellent choice for wildlife-friendly gardens.

Highly adaptable, Red Hooks thrives in a wide range of soil types and climates, including coastal and exposed conditions, making it a reliable performer in both residential and landscape settings.

Care & Growing Tips
Plant in full sun to light shade in well-drained soil. Grevillea ‘Red Hooks’ tolerates a wide variety of soils, including sandy, loamy and clay soils, as well as poorer conditions, provided drainage is adequate.

Water regularly while establishing, then reduce, as it becomes drought tolerant once mature. It will also tolerate light frost and moderate coastal exposure.

Prune regularly to maintain a compact, dense shape, this variety responds well to trimming and can be shaped as required. Feed with a low-phosphorus native fertiliser if needed to support growth and flowering.
