Hakea Intensity - 33cm Pot

This striking upright Hakea Intensity is a standout Australian native, prized for its dense cylindrical flower spikes in vivid reddish-pink tones. Flowering from late winter through early spring, it delivers bold seasonal colour when many other plants are just waking up.

Its fine, needle-like foliage creates a soft, textural backdrop that contrasts beautifully with the vibrant blooms, adding depth and movement to the garden year-round.

Care & Growing Tips
Plant in full sun in well-drained soil for best flowering and growth. While it can tolerate light shade, performance is strongest in sunny positions.

Water regularly while establishing, then reduce, as it becomes drought tolerant once mature. It will tolerate light frost but prefers low humidity conditions for best long-term health.

Prune lightly after flowering to maintain shape if required. Apply a low-phosphorus native fertiliser in early spring or late summer to support healthy growth.
