Lagerstroemia indica ‘Little Audrey’ is a charming, compact crepe myrtle bred specifically for smaller gardens, pots and low borders. This exciting variety forms a neat, bushy mound, making it an ideal choice where space is limited but bright summer colour is still desired.
Growing to approximately 50cm high and 50cm wide, Little Audrey features densely packed, lush green foliage carried on red stems, with attractive bronzed new growth adding extra seasonal interest. Throughout summer, the plant is smothered in masses of vibrant, lolly-pink flowers that sit proudly above the foliage, creating an eye-catching display well out of proportion to its size.
Adaptable and easy to grow, Little Audrey thrives in a sunny position and performs well in most soil types. Like all crepe myrtles, it is deciduous, dropping its leaves in winter before bursting back into life as temperatures warm.
Care & Growing Tips
Plant in full sun for best flowering and foliage colour. Water regularly while establishing, then reduce once settled. In late winter or early spring, prune lightly to maintain shape and apply a long-term slow-release fertiliser to support healthy growth and abundant flowering.
