Magnolia Inspiration - 33cm Pot

Magnolia ‘Inspiration’ PBR is a compact evergreen Magnolia that provides year-round structure along with a beautiful display of flowers from late winter through spring. Its dense growth makes it particularly useful where the classic appearance of an evergreen Magnolia is wanted without the size of a much larger tree.

The flowers are produced prolifically and have a sweet perfume, bringing both fragrance and seasonal interest to the garden. Growing to around 4 metres high, ‘Inspiration’ can be allowed to develop as a compact feature tree or pruned and trained for screening and hedging.

Its dense evergreen habit also makes it well suited to creating privacy, background planting and more formal applications such as pleached hedging.

Mature size: approximately 4 metres high × 3 metres wide

Care & Growing Tips
Plant in full sun for best results, although it will tolerate part shade. Choose a sheltered position protected from strong winds with fertile, slightly acidic, well-drained soil.
Water regularly while establishing. Once established, ‘Inspiration’ is moderately drought tolerant but will benefit from supplementary watering during extended dry periods. Avoid waterlogged soil.
Prune in late winter or early spring as required to maintain shape or remove damaged or diseased growth. Apply a general fertiliser in spring and mulch annually to help retain soil moisture and support healthy growth.
