Rose ‘Busy Bee’ (Korpancom) is a compact, low-growing Floribunda rose producing masses of beautiful salmon-pink flowers throughout the flowering season. Its generous clusters of blooms create a colourful display, making it an excellent choice for garden borders, low bedding and mass planting.

Also known as ‘Bad Birnbach’, this Kordes-bred rose is particularly valued for its healthy growth, versatility and reliable garden performance. Although sometimes grouped with groundcover roses, ‘Busy Bee’ has a more compact, bushy Floribunda habit rather than a true spreading groundcover form.

Growing to approximately 50cm tall, ‘Busy Bee’ is ideal for creating neat, colourful planting schemes without taking up too much space. Its soft salmon-pink flowers combine beautifully with other roses, perennials and small shrubs.

Recognised for its garden performance, ‘Busy Bee’ was awarded a Certificate of Merit at the National Rose Trial Gardens of Australia.

Care & Growing Tips
Plant in full sun in fertile, well-drained soil, ideally receiving at least six hours of direct sunlight each day.

Water thoroughly after planting and regularly while establishing, particularly during extended periods of hot, dry weather. Apply mulch in spring to help retain soil moisture and suppress weeds, keeping it clear of the base of the plant.

Feed established roses in late August and again after the main flowering flushes to encourage healthy growth and continued flowering.

Prune in July, or August in colder and frost-prone areas, removing dead, damaged or crossing branches. Shorten remaining stems to healthy, outward-facing buds to maintain a compact, bushy shape and encourage fresh flowering growth.

Remove spent flower clusters throughout the growing season to encourage further blooms.

Although ‘Busy Bee’ is known for its healthy growth, maintaining good airflow and removing fallen leaves will help reduce the risk of fungal diseases.
