Standard Rose ‘Father’s Love™’ (Meikarouz) is a superb hybrid tea with deep, velvety red double blooms and a beautifully classic form. As the flowers mature, their centres take on a softer old-world appearance, adding further character to the rich colouring.

Fragrance is a standout feature, with a powerful, long-lasting perfume combining fruity and spicy notes. The blooms are complemented by glossy deep green foliage and strong, healthy growth, while their classic shape and rich perfume make them excellent for cutting and enjoying indoors.

Grown as a standard, ‘Father’s Love™’ brings the flowers and fragrance closer to eye level while adding height and structure to garden beds and large decorative pots.

Its meaningful name also makes ‘Father’s Love™’ a thoughtful gift or commemorative rose for a father, grandfather, husband or another important father figure. The rose was named in support of men across Australia through the Centre for Men’s Health.

Care & Growing Tips
Plant in full sun in fertile, well-drained soil.
Water deeply while establishing and during extended dry periods.
Feed established roses in late August and again after the main flowering flushes.
Mulch in spring and deadhead regularly to encourage continued flowering.
Prune the rose head in July, or August in colder and frost-prone areas, and remove any shoots growing from below the graft.
Stake securely and check ties as the plant grows.
