Standard Rose Friesia - 60cm/2ft | 25cm Pot

Standard Rose ‘Friesia’ is a beautifully fragrant rose producing clear yellow, double blooms that stand out against its glossy, dark green foliage. Its bright colouring brings warmth to the garden and works particularly well as a feature amongst contrasting or softer planting.

Fragrance is one of ‘Friesia’s’ standout qualities, with the blooms carrying a distinctive Freesia-like perfume. The flowers are also excellent for cutting, allowing both their colour and fragrance to be enjoyed indoors.

Grown as a 3ft standard rose, the flowering canopy sits above a clear stem, bringing the blooms closer to eye level and adding height and structure to garden beds, pathways and entrances.

Care & Growing Tips
Plant in full sun in fertile, well-drained soil. Water deeply while establishing and during extended dry periods. Feed established roses in late August and again after the main flowering flushes. Mulch in spring to help retain moisture and suppress weeds.
Deadhead regularly to encourage repeat flowering. Prune the flowering canopy in July, or August in colder and frost-prone areas, removing dead, damaged and weak growth and maintaining a balanced shape.
Keep the main stem securely supported with a sturdy stake, particularly in exposed or windy positions. Remove any shoots that appear from the stem or below the graft. Remove fallen leaves from around the base and monitor for common rose pests and diseases.
